AFA is the perfect complement to school orchestra, band, choir and other music programs. By enrolling in one of AFA’s programs, music students can gain valuable experiences that supplement their classroom studies. Teachers praise AFA’s intensive approach, which helps their students progress in a very short amount of time, turning performers into leaders.
AFA In Schools offers free or low-cost customized residencies and master classes to area schools that enhance their own school’s curriculum. AFA In Schools broadens a school’s ability to provide quality arts programming for its students and, in some cases, supports schools and community organizations where fine arts programming may have been eliminated or may just be getting started.
If you are an educator interested in what AFA has to offer, please Contact Us to talk about an AFA In Schools residency at your school, or to schedule a recruiting visit to help your students understand their path in any of AFA’s programs.
CHOOSE WHAT YOUR STUDENTS DO
Focus on improving your singing technique, working collaboratively, and exploring new repertoire in daily choral and madrigals rehearsals. Master classes in diction, ear-training and solo technique help build well-rounded performers.
String, woodwind and brass players participate in chamber music and large ensemble programs that expand repertoire knowledge, improve technique and working collaboratively as part of an ensemble.
Develop your craft writing your own music as part of AFA’s composition programs. Learn to write chamber music, ballet scores and score films as part of AFA’s unique hands-on collaborative programs.
